What is Phoenix Training...
Phoenix Training is a personal training/small group training studio. Created because a big gym isn’t a good fit for everybody, machines and equipment can be scary to use if you’ve never tried them, and the best results come with guidance, encouragement, and a plan. Let us help YOU break whatever barriers are standing in your way - whether they are long-held insecurities, lack of experience, plateaus you can’t break on your own, wanting to learn a new skill but not knowing where to start or how to get there, or whatever else is holding you back - it’s time for you to rise.
Who is Phoenix Training?
I am not one of those people who was “always into fitness” (I feel like personal trainers have been told that’s what they NEED to say, but in my case it just isn’t true). I didn’t find fitness until after motherhood and had an urgent need to get my mind, body, and health RIGHT for my daughter. Ive had a lot of body image issues since an illness brought me close to death in 2003 (look up Necrotizing Fasciitis for some gnarly pictures of those with similar experiences) and was used to hiding my body, but faced new challenges as a MOTHER and didn’t want to share those insecurities. I found a FIRE inside when I found the barbell. Yes I ran races, yes I did at home programs, I tried it all, but when I lifted that barbell off the ground for the first time I felt like a piece of me came alive that hadn’t ever existed before. I became OBSESSED with making this newfound hobby my lifestyle and to live by example for those around me.
My sincere goal is to help others find that same FIRE for self improvement that I found. Whether its at the barbell, like me, or simply feeling stronger, more powerful, and more confident.
